Current Instructional Focus:
Language Arts: Students are learning to summarize a nonfiction text by explaining main ideas and details. To help, ask your student, “What’s the big idea the reader is supposed learn in this section? What details connect to this big idea?”
Math: We are learning how to use fraction bars and multiplication and division to find equivalent fractions. We will be using equivalent fractions to compare and add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.
Social Studies: We are finishing our unit on the Revolutionary War. We will learn about our New Nation next.
Science: We are continuing to work on our science fair projects. Be sure to ask your student what their question is and how they are collecting their data!
