Lynn Mallon - PTO President

Hello Glenkirk Knights!! This is my third year as president of the PTO board. I am a fifth grade teacher and will be starting my seventh year at Glenkirk in the 2020-2021 school year. I have a BS in Elementary Education and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also the sponsor for our Golden Knights Green Team. I love being involved in many aspects of the school because I know that when teachers, school staff, administrators, and parents work together, we create a magnificent school climate that fosters positive experiences and growth of our children, both academically and personally. We have seen such a wonderful increase in the participation of our families at our monthly meetings and school events, and the rise in volunteers has been a terrific support for our community.  I know this upcoming year will be very different than we are used to, and we are here to help! My hope is that we continue to bring our families together and promote an environment where everyone feels welcome! #5castles1kingdom

Chris Nengel - PTO Vice President

I am blessed to be a father of three prior Golden Knights, and one rising first grader. Having been a member of the Morris Farm community since the fall of 2005 and a father of a Golden Knight since Glenkirk’s opening, I have seen tremendous growth in the school. The PTO has proven to be such an integral member of the Glenkirk family over the years and continues to play a vital role in the school's success. I am excited for the chance to serve our school family as PTO Vice President. I have 10+ years of professional management and leadership experience, which includes chairing various Integrated Project Teams. I am a strong believer in servant leadership and providing whatever tools and support are necessary to be successful. I look forward to building on the programs that exist while adding new ideas and broader parent participation.

 Jennifer Oister - PTO Treasurer

Hi! I will have 3 Golden Knights next year (K, 3, 4) and I am a stay-at-home-mom with 1 more future Knight. I have a BS in Accounting and Real Estate from Florida State University, and worked in the mortgage industry for 6 years before "mom-tiring". I’ve been a member and volunteering with PTO for 4 years, including one term as VP and one term as Treasurer.  I enjoy working with other parent volunteers and the amazing staff to foster the incredible sense of community and caring that makes Glenkirk the best school! Go Golden Knights!!!

Hi! My name is Crystal Perseo. My husband and I live in Glenkirk Estates with our three daughters and father-in-law. Our oldest will be moving on to middle school, while our other two Golden Knights are joining 1st and 4th grades.  I served this past year as PTO Board Vice Treasurer. I have enjoyed working with other members of the board, staff and parents to enrich the educational environment at Glenkirk.  I graduated from Radford University with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education. I taught art at the elementary level for the past twenty years. Currently, I am attending Liberty University online full time and will be graduating with my Masters degree in 2020.  I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of a PTO that supports our children and school staff.

Katie Lake - PTO Secretary

Hello All! I have previously served on two different  PTO Boards at Mountain View Elementary School as secretary. I am second grade teacher at Haymarket Elementary School and will be starting my sixth year of teaching there in the 2020-2021 school year. I had previously taught elementary school in Indiana and Georgia. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Master's of Science in Education with a focus in reading and literacy. I have always enjoyed being involved in my children's schools as part of the PTO, a volunteer or as room mom. Glenkirk is such an amazing school that focuses on the whole child as a world-class learner all while making it a fun and high-spirited environment. I look forward to helping foster that environment in the upcoming school year.
